TEAM DAI IS A CYCLING COMMUNITY RIDING IN SUPPORT OF OTHERS
Team Dai is a cycling community based in Vientiane, Laos riding together to raise money in support of Lao Organisations supporting Lao people. Riding since 2008, Team Dai has raised over $230,000 and has supported landmine removal operations, women’s shelters, orphanages, street kid’s projects, schools, wildlife conservation, children’s hospitals and many other Lao organisations. 2022 - $15,000 for the Lao Friends Hospital for Children
2023 - $15,000 for the Lao Conservation Trust for Wildlife
2024 - $30,600 for the Children’s Hospital in Vientiane
HISTORY
Team Dai began in 2008 as the brain-child of Bruce Knox, Sophie Donnelly and Ginny Coleman, three expatriates living and working in Vientiane who loved cycling and loved Laos.
In wanting to combine their love of cycling and their desire to support the people of Laos, Team Dai was born. Since 2008, Team Dai has ridden well over 6000km and has raised more than $230,000 in support of Lao Organisations supporting Lao people. The annual Challenges are listed below:
