Team Dai Challenge

2025

This year the challenge was completed by 31 riders cycling 375 km (including 2800 meter vertical elevation) over 4 days through the beautiful landscapes of Khammouane.

The first Team Dai Challenge was completed in 2008.  Since then, Team Dai has raised more than 200,000 USD for local organizations supporting Lao people, including support to land mine removal operations, elephant conservation centres, women’s shelters, orphanages, schools, and hospitals.

Team Dai is a non-registered group of individual cycling enthusiasts based in Vientiane capital.  The annual challenge is planned and executed by volunteers.  Funds are raised through corporate sponsorships and private donations. While riders cover all cost of the ride, 100% all funds raised are forwarded directly to the charity every year.

Team Dai is very proud to announce the final amount of 24,244 USD raised for Lone Buffalo in Xieng Kham.

An exhilarating 4-day Team Dai Challenge through some of Laos’ most remote and spectacular landscapes, all while raising funds for a cause that changes lives: Lone Buffalo. Starting from Vieng Kham, we rode over 375 km on a mix of paved and unpaved roads, tackling more than 2,800 meters of climbing as we cycled through valleys, caves, riversides, and dramatic karst scenery.
